Charles Woodson began his football career in Fremont, Ohio, where he was named Ohio's "Mr. Football" in 1994. At the University of Michigan, he earned the Heisman Trophy in 1997 - the first predominately defensive player to win the prestigious award. Drafted in 1998, Woodson spent eight seasons with the Oakland Raiders before signing with the Green Bay Packers. He excelled with "The Green and Gold" and was named NFL Defensive Player of the Year by The Associated Press in 2009. A leader on and off the field, Woodson led the Packers to a Super Bowl victory in 2011.
