In Pandemic: In the Lab, the second expansion for Pandemic, you will use a new game board that allows you to move the pawns in a laboratory. The goal of this activity is the same as in the base game – finding cures for diseases – but this time in a new way. Behind sealed bio-hazard doors, scientists race against time to sequence diseases, take samples and test cures. Pandemic: In the Lab includes four new roles, new Virulent Strain events and a Worldwide Panic Mutation scenario. Players can compete individually or on rival teams (when playing with four or six players). Can your team work together in the lab to save humanity?.
•THIS IS A PANDEMIC BOARD GAME EXPANSION: You will need both the Pandemic Base Game and Pandemic On the Brink Expansion in order to play with this expansion.
•NEW EXCITING CHALLENGE - RACE AGAINST TIME TO TREAT DISEASES AND TEST CURES: New medical technology has been developed that will help treat the infectious diseases spreading across the globe. This expansion adds more variety and challenge to your mission of containing deadly disease outbreaks.
•SECOND NEW EXCITING CHALLENGE - SOLO GAME: Now you can take on the diseases by yourself. With a little help from the CDC, you're on your own. Stay in contact with your home base and discover the cures before it’s too late.
•THIRD NEW EXCITING CHALLENGE - RIVAL TEAMS: Split into two rival teams and race to cure and eradicate diseases, prevent outbreaks, and gain prestige. Curing diseases is still the ultimate goal, but the prestige you’ve earned over the course of the game determines the winner.
•NEW COMPONENTS ADD MORE VARIETY: This expansion adds four new Role cards, three new Event cards, and challenges you can combine with those from the On the Brink expansion. In the Lab creates a whole new world of possibilities for Pandemic.
